Brian Cuddy
Prior to founding Fenway Consulting Group, Brian Cuddy was the Director of Business Development for the Boston office of Arthur Andersen reporting directly to the Partner in Charge of New England operations . Before joining Andersen, Brian was the President of the Boston office of kforce (formerly known as ROMAC), one of the nation's premier publicly traded executive recruiting firms.
During his 23 year career at ROMAC, Brian assumed a significant role in the initial public offering of the firm, developing a Human Resources contract staffing and Outplacement division to complement the existing Accounting/Finance and IT specialties, as well as creating a new national specialty in the executive level staffing of CFOs and Controllers for special projects and interim engagements.
Originally from Garden City, NY, Brian graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1974 and spent four years as a CPA in the Boston office of Arthur Andersen.
Brian currently resides in Wellesley with his wife and two daughters.
Bill Griffiths
Bill Griffiths joined Brian Cuddy in January 2003 after a 22 year career with kforce (formerly known as ROMAC) where he was most recently responsible for the development and marketing of their senior level interim and project business, Executive Solutions. Previously, Bill was the Group President of the Finance and Accounting Search and Temporary Staffing Business units. Initially upon graduation from college, Bill worked as a Senior Auditor with the Boston office of Arthur Andersen.
Bill grew up in West Roxbury and graduated from Catholic Memorial High School and The College of the Holy Cross. Bill has been extremely active in numerous alumni affairs at both alma maters, as well as in the Parent's Associations of St. Sebastian's School and Ursuline Academy.
Bill resides in Walpole with his wife, son and daughter. His interests include coaching youth basketball and baseball, running, golf and "summering" in Harwichport.
Carl Baskind
Carl Baskind has been placing financial and accounting professionals for thirty years. After earning his accounting degree and working for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., he joined Romac & Associates of Boston in 1979. After fourteen years he founded Baskind Consulting & Placement where he continued to specialize in full-time contingency placement for the last fifteen years.
In September of 2009 he merged resources with Fenway Consulting Group, reuniting with Brian, Bill, and Ed. He will continue his contingency placement efforts as well as supporting the firm's retained search and contract CFO/Controller businesses.
Carl grew up in Northern New Jersey and currently resides in Framingham with his wife of 27 years and two daughters. He is a past president of the Route 128 Chapter of the National Association of Accountants (IMA) and more recently served as president of the University of Michigan's Women's Lacrosse Club.
Ed Blackburn
Ed Blackburn joined Brian and Bill as Managing Director of Fenway Consulting Group in January 2005, bringing 15 years of diverse and successful staffing industry experience. Ed most recently was Director, Resource Development with TAC Worldwide companies where his responsibilities included developing and launching new service offerings for the company on a local and national level. Prior to joining TWC, Ed was Manager of Professional Staffing for Veritude. In this role, he was responsible for all interim professional staffing at Fidelity Investments on a nationwide basis. He also had responsibility for account management of $100mm in revenue from FESco, Veritude’s largest client.
Prior to Veritude, Ed started his career with Brian and Bill at kforce (formerly known as ROMAC) where he held increasingly responsible positions including Director for Executive Solutions, Vice President of Marketing for Finance and Accounting and Division Vice President of Finance and Accounting Flex.
Originally from Ventnor, NJ, Ed graduated from the University of Scranton with a BS in Accounting.
Ed resides in Braintree and enjoys all outdoor activities with his son including golf, baseball, soccer, roller blading and “the beach”.
Mike Doughty
Mike Doughty literally grew up in the staffing industry. His parents owned and operated a placement business and Mike was responsible for opening its first Accounting and Finance branch.
After leaving the family business Mike moved to Boston and joined Fenway Consulting Group where he has become an integral part of its operation. He specializes in target recruiting for our corporate clients, supporting both the permanent and contract businesses.
Growing up in Connecticut Mike is a proud alumnus of UConn. An avid golfer, he has been affiliated with BraeBurn Country Club for over a decade. He has won numerous awards over the years including being inducted into their Caddie Hall of Fame.
Margaret Jones
Margaret joined Fenway Consulting Group in April 2010. Her prior experience includes accounting, recruiting and academia. After graduating with an Accounting degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1981 she worked with both Alexander Grant (now Grant Thornton) and Ernst & Young. She also spent time as a professional recruiter with Positions, Inc. Later, she utilized both her accounting and recruiting background as Director of the Graduate School of Professional Accounting at Northeastern University.
Originally from the Chicago area, Margaret now lives in Framingham with her husband, Dan. They have two sons and a daughter. Margaret's interests include travel, fitness and reading.
Rob Angell/Launchpad Ventures
Rob Angell is a sucessful entrepreneur, CFO, COO and certified public accountant and is currently President
of Angell Ventures, a firm which provides interim executive and advisory services to CEOs and their executive teams.
Rob currently serves in an ongoing advisory capacity to Fenway Consulting Group. Prior to Angell Ventures, Rob was
Managing Director at Accounting Management Solutions where he led business development and client delivery to emerging businesses in the Technology, Life Sciences, Services, Manufacturing and Health Care fields.
Earlier he held senior executive positions at several high growth public and privately owned companies including Chief Operating Officer at Zentropy Partners, Chief Financial Officer at Hill Holliday (both part of the Interpublic Group of Companies), and Chief Administrative Officer at The Parthenon Group. He was also founding executive of two successful companies: Noresco – an energy conservation company and Zentropy Partners – a multinational internet and new media professional services firm. Rob was also manager of financial controls at Boston Consulting Group and a senior manager at Ernst & Young.
Rob currently is on the board of the New England Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Originally from Lebanon Township, New Jersey, Rob is a graduate of Brown University and New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Rob resides in Sherborn with his wife, son and daughter. His interests include tennis, skiing, sports of all kinds, and travel.
